Large buyout transactions, targeting large companies, often require to set-up partnerships between investment funds. To complete these transactions, leading LBO funds seek partners contributing additional financial resources, and also bringing local knowledge.

In 2005, AXA Private Equity established a Co-Investment fund designed to take minority equity interests in large buyout transactions. Since then, we regularly participate in this type of transaction with a global reach. We have a recognized expertise in structuring transactions, a large network of business contacts, and a strong reputation in this area of the market.

AXA Private Equity is rolling out its Co-Investment policy through three main areas:

• Large transactions in Europe, and more specifically in France in which we contribute actively to the success of the transaction,
• Mid Cap LBO in the North American market,
• Investments in the fast-growing emerging economies of Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South America.

• Minority interests in large private equity transactions on a global scale, alongside top tier leading investors.
• Investment of €20-100M per transaction, or even up to €300M by raising additional funds from the main unit-holders of the dedicated funds.
