Dominique Senequier joined AXA Group in early 1996 and founded AXA Private Equity. At GAN from 1987 to 1995, she created and developed the subsidiary GAN Participations. Prior to that she was Group Acquisitions Manager at GAN from 1980-1987, and from 1975-1980 worked for the French Insurance Commission.

Vincent Gombault has a master’s degree in Financial Techniques from ESSEC and a DESS (post-graduate professional degree) in Banking and Finance. He also holds a degree in Law and a master’s degree in Economics.

Before joining AXA Private Equity in 1998, where he developed and managed the funds of funds business, Vincent Gombault worked in AXA Group’s Industrial Holdings department (1991-1998) after a spell as Investment Manager in the M&A department of Société Générale. Stephan Illenberger holds an MBA from the University of Munich and an MA in Economics from Chicago University.

Before launching AXA Private Equity Germany in 2001, Stephan Illenberger was a Managing Partner of Doertenbach & Co, an independent management company for three years. Prior to this, he was Head of Corporate Finance Germany at NatWest Markets and CEO of York Hannover. From 1987-1992 he was Director of Bayerische Vereinsbank in the M&A department. He started his career at McKinsey.

Christophe Florin holds an MBA in Finance from Université de Laval, Québec and also graduated from IEP Paris. 

Christophe Florin joined AXA Private Equity in 1998 and has directed the Asian business since 2005. He is also responsible for the administration and finance, legal and human resources departments. Previously he worked in GAN's unlisted company investments department, in the company “Développement et Partenariat” and at the “Crédit National”.

Mathias Burghardt joined AXA Private Equity on September 2007.

Alexis Saada joined AXA Private Equity’s venture team in May 2007 as Senior Investment Manager to develop the Energy and Environment portfolio. Previously, he had been since 1999 with BNP Paribas in the Equity Capital Markets department as Vice President, after a first experience abroad.

Marton Hunek joined AXA Private Equity in 2006 in Paris.

He started his career in 1996 as project manager at GKI Economic Research Co., a leading Hungarian think-tank, where he also co-founded GKIeNET Internet research and Consulting Ltd. He then became analyst at Roland berger & Partners (Hungary). From 2000 to 2005 he was Principal at AGF Private Equity.

Laurent graduated from ESSEC.

Laurent Roquette joined AXA Private Equity Co-Investment Team in September 2006 in Paris as Senior Investment Manager then moved to the LBO Mid Cap team in 2008.

In 1998, he joined the Société Générale where he worked for two years as analyst in Sao Paulo before moving to the Corporate Acquisition Finance Group in Paris and London where he took part in corporate structured financing of Havas, Alstom, Eridania Beghin-Say.
In 2003, he moved towards LBO deals and joined The Royal Bank of Scotland where he was involved in various acquisitions projects: Amadeus, Frans Bonhomme, Le Moniteur, Vivarte.

Before joining AXA Private Equity in September 2007, Alexandre Motte worked for eight years within The Boston Consulting Group, where he was a Principal, focusing on healthcare and consumer goods.

He also worked during two years within the Banque Nationale de Paris in New York, as an M&A analyst.

Carole Barnay joined AXA Private Equity in 2001 as Financial Controller Manager of the Direct Funds department then moved to the Co-Investment team as Investment Manager in January 2006.

Edouard Tétreau joined AXA Private Equity in Paris in May 2007 as Investment Director then moved to the New York office in September where he is in charge of developing the Direct Fund activities, through co-investment at a preliminary stage. His expertise in media and internet industries will continue to be accessed by all AXA Private Equity teams concerned.

Before joining AXA Private Equity, he founded Mediafin, a financial strategy and communication consultancy firm since 2004.

Previously, he worked with Credit Lyonnais Securities as Financial Analyst. In 2005, he published an essay on equity financial markets during the TMT bubble « Analyste au coeur de la folie financière ».

Ivan Bernard-Brunel joined AXA Private Equity in March 2005.

Prior to joining AXA Private Equity, he was a Principal in the London office of a Silicon Valley based venture capital firm,  responsible for investment opportunities in the communications and semiconductor markets in Europe. Before that, he was director of M&A and business development with Lucent Technologies, NJ, USA.

He started his career as manager of turn-key projects with Alcatel in South East Asia and ran the Indonesian operations of Alcatel CIT.

Olivier Decannière joined AXA Private Equity in early 2001.

He began his career at Société Générale in the M&A division (1996). He subsequently joined the French American Chamber of Commerce in New York as Head of Business Development and Investor Relations from 1997-1998, before becoming Investment Manager for the Renaissance Investissements fund specialising in Recovery operations (1999-2000).

Franck Nguyen joined AXA Private Equity in 1997.

He began his career at GAN in 1995 as a Financial Analyst in the department specialised in investments in unlisted companies.

Edouard Boscher has an MBA from ISG Paris.

He joined AXA in 1993 and AXA Private Equity in 2002 to take up the post of Head of Client Relations. Previously, he was in charge of relations with French insurance companies at AXA Investment Managers for five years. And prior to that, he worked at AXA’s Central Office for two years as Head of all assets managed by and for the AXA group worldwide. He began his career at AXA Asset Management as a Fund Manager in Emerging Markets.

Jérémie thierry joined AXA Private Equity in Paris on November 2005 as Investment Analyst within the Funds of Funds team.

He has been with the Paris funds of funds team as intern from May 2003 to August 2004 and from May 2005 to November 2005. Previously, he was intern with the Finance department of AC Nielsen.

Marie-Victoire Rozé joined AXA Private Equity as Investment Analyst in Paris on October 2005 after a 8 month internship within the Fund of Funds team.

Mathieu Lebrun joined AXA Private Equity on november 2004 as Analyst within the Fund of Funds Team.

Previously,he has achieved several internships, in audit at Mazars & Guérard (2003), in finance at Vivendi Universal (2004) and the Socially Responsible Investment within AXA Investment Managers (2004).

Caterina Piatto holds a CEMS MIM Master from HEC (1998) and graduated from Bocconi University (Milano).

From 1998 to 2000, she handled various finance and organisation audit missions for the department of internal audit of L'Oreal. In June 2000, she was in charge of the Italian market for Parvest (a sicav from Luxembourg) at BNP Paribas Asset Management in Paris, and for other products for which she was providing financial advisory services, marketing/communication and commercial support for 300 Italian financial institutions.

Ingmar Vallano joined AXA Private Equity in March 2006 as Investment Analyst in the Venture Team, after a 9 months internship in this same team.

Ian Wee joined AXA Private Equity in Singapore in January 2008 as an Analyst within the Funds of Funds team.

Prior to joining AXA Private Equity, he worked within Fortis Bank in Rotterdam and in Singapore between August 2006 and November 2007. He also worked at Hudson Global Resources for 5 months and at Citi Markets & Banking in Singapore for 3 months.

Alexandre Monteux joined AXA Private Equity in 2005 within the LBO Small Cap team.He then moved into the Fund of Funds team, in Paris, London and Singapore. He has also participated to the Valuation Department expertise.

Before joining AXA Private Equity in 2007, Stefano Mion worked at Merrill Lynch as an Associate in the European Leveraged Finance Team in London,  UBS Investment Bank in Milan in the Corporate Finance Team after 3 years spent at JP Morgan in London.

Before joining AXA Private Equity in 2005, CécileMayer-Lévi has been Investment Director with Mezzanis (Crédit Agricole Private Equity) from 2002 to 2005.

From 1992 to 2000, she was Investment Manager and partners with ELIG, a LBO fund created in Paris in 1990. She was previously Associate in the M&A and corporate finance departments with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in New York and Paris.

Jean-Marc Fiamma joined AXA Private Equity Venture team in 2000 where he initiated several investments in the IT and electronics sectors. He then moved to the Mezzanine team in June 2008.

He began his career at BNP Private Equity (Banexi) first in charge of the Middle Office of FCPRs (Venture Capital funds) then as Investment Manager working on several operations.
