Skyrock was founded in 1985 by Pierre Bellanger, its current chairman, and is the leading expression platform for the new generation of 13-24 year olds through its radio station and a website dedicated to blogs:

• Leading radio in France for the 13-24 market (nearly 4 million listeners per day) since 2002 – programming Rap & R’n’B and free air time;
• Leading blog website (6 million active blogs).

Strategy

Skyrock's development programme is based on:

• Growth in Internet & Mobile activity (25% of revenues), boosted by the increase in the number of blogs, new functions (audio, video), the increasing power of on-line advertising on the blog website (new advertisers, special transactions), and the development of its telephony offer.
• Growth in radio business (75% of revenues); thanks to the 2006 plan for re-allocation of frequencies, a potential increase in national radio coverage from 33 million to 45 million inhabitants.
