Eliokem is a specialty chemicals group with head office in Villejust in the Paris region. The group has over 460 employees worldwide with 3 production units in Le Havre (France), Akron (Ohio, USA) and Ningbo (China), 6 representation offices in Europe, Asia and USA, and a network of 75 distributors throughout the world. Eliokem is a leading player in many specific applications backed by the following brands and products:

• Pliolite®, Plioway®, Pliotec® and Hydro Pliolite®  are resins used for decorative paints,
• Pliotone®: resins for electrographic cartridges, photocopiers and printers,
• Pliocord®, and Chemigum®: latex used to treat reinforced textile, joints and gloves,
• Chemigum®, and Sunigum®: elastomer modifier for plastics,
• Wingstay®: non-stain anti-oxidant used in natural latex products, carpet undersides and protection of ABS and elastomer.

Having successfully won independence from Goodyear, the objective of both AXA Private Equity and management is that Eliokem should become a platform for international growth, both by organic growth and by accompanying its traditional customers, and by acquisitions on high-growth markets with a view to bolstering its positions on various market segments and regions including Asia, USA and Eastern Europe.
