Delft Instruments to sell Delft Electronic Products to Holfra Finances

Delft Instruments B.V. has completed the sale of its subsidiary Delft Electronic Products B.V. (DEP) located in Roden, The Netherlands to HolFra Finances S.A., a 73% participation of AXA Private Equity.

HolFra Finances S.A. is the parent company of Photonis, Brive (France) which is a world leader in the development and the manufacturing of optronic components for low light level detection and imaging for a variety of applications: medical and other industrial markets, defense and research. Photonis employs 700 people.

DEP is the leading European developer and supplier of high-end image intensifiers, low light level detectors and photon counters. Products are used in Night Vision, Surveillance, Medical and Scientific applications. DEP employs over 130 people.

Photonis and DEP are very complementary in terms of product lines, geographic coverage and market segments and therefore it is to be expected that significant synergies exist between the companies.

On 8 February 2005 all shares of DEP have been transferred to Holfra Finances S.A.
