Consort NT, an IT services company specialised in network infrastructures, has announced the opening of its capital to AXA Private Equity*, a capital management company with an exclusive focus on investments in unlisted companies. This move fulfils the group’s stated ambition to open its capital to an institutional investor, as announced at the annual results presentation on 24 April. The operation will be presented to shareholders at the AGM on 26 September.
Once concluded, AXA Private Equity should hold about 12.5% of Consort NT’s
capital via its Innovation mutual funds (FCPIs), AXA Placement Innovation I and
AXA Placement Innovation II. Listed on the OTC market since September 2000, Consort NT has posted a strong pace of organic growth in the last two years (over 90% between 2000 and 2001) and net profitability higher than 7% of sales. Consort NT will use the additional capital to pursue its rapid development, particularly in the field of outsourcing, a key element in its business plan. *conditional upon Consort NT being awarded the ANVAR "innovative enterprise" classification.
