Winwise increases capital by € 2.2 million to advance its innovation potential Paris, Wednesday June 27, 2001

Winwise, the company specializing in the design and development of advanced Intranet applications and components, has completed a first round totaling € 2.2 million with AXA Private Equity through its AXA Placement Innovation Fund (€ 1.2 million), the Crédit Lyonnais Innovative Technologies Investment Fund (FCPI) Innovation 2 (€ 0.5 million) and ODDO Innovation (€ 0.5 million).

The company specializes in providing added value through high-traffic Internet applications and in the development of system, functional and network components.

Through its Instant Touch technology, Winwise is currently the only French company to offer a generic solution intended for large intranet/Internet portals allowing implementation of advanced real-time communications functions such as a selective broadcast of real-time content,usage monitoring, multi-player games, online help and work groups.

The company, created in 1996 by Olivier Bourdin, has signed on some of the largest French Internet portals and posted sales figures of FRF 30 million with FRF 6 million net profit.

Boosted by its initial success, Winwise, which now employs 70 engineers, intends to continue expanding its offering of components and services intended for major accounts, computer services firms, and publishers designing advanced Internet applications, and strengthen its reputation among the larger French and European players.
