AXA Private Equity reaches $22 billion of Assets Under Management Paris, 29 November 2007

AXA Private Equity now has over $22 billion of assets under management. In 2007, the firm raised $7 billion in all its business activities, up 45% since December 2006. This volume of assets under management and the diversity of its business expertises, which cover LBO, mezzanine finance, co-investment, infrastructure, venture capital and funds of funds positions AXA Private Equity as a leading international private equity firm.

The growth is broken down as follows: $4.2 billion from direct funds (principally LBOs and Infrastructure), $1.15 billion from mezzanine finance and $1.3 billion from funds of funds.

The business has significantly expanded internationally with 42% of direct investments in 2007 coming from outside France.

Clients break down is as follows:

• 40% in North America,
• 35% in Europe (outside France),
• 8% in Asia and the Middle East,
• 17% in France.
