Business Activity

Set up in 1964 by Guy and Michel Piriou, the Group is presently managed by the second generation of the Piriou family.  The Group income is distributed among several business activities:

Naval engineering (4.5% of turnover) where the company has strong expertise in the design of offshore vessels and crew boats designed to support oil rigs, fishing vessels and tugboats;
Shipbuilding (77% of turnover) with shipbuilding dockyards in Concarneau (France), Mauritius and Nigeria, suitable for vessels from 20 to 100 metres;
Ship repairs (18.5% of turnover) for vessels up to 100 metres.


Strategy

The Piriou Group’s plans for development articulate around the following principal axes:

Growth in offshore activity, in proximity to current areas of operation;
Growth in ship repair and maintenance activity, both in France and abroad;
Growth in engineering activity, as a consequence of increased construction and maintenance activity;
Striving towards an international presence for its shipbuilding and ship repair yards (Vietnam, Brazil, etc.).
